Trip to Florida: Part Two

Let's continue today with some more random
Florida pictures...
because I know everyone is in a winter slump up north yet!

A prickly cactus just laying beside a road:

A gorgeous flower we saw when we went on a walk.
Is this a Camilia?  Begonia?  Anyone???:

Seagulls chillin' by the waves:

Saw this Dad and his little girl as he was giving her loving surfing lessons:

Madeira Beach around dusk. Those two chairs are calling me today, how about you?:

A longer shot of the same spot:

Seagulls admiring the sunset:

Another chair awaits you!:

Lovely Hibiscus!:

More  posts are coming of some more Florida
and even of some Savannah....
stay tuned!!

love the Florida scenes, all are very familiar since i love only a short way from these scenes. these are the reason we live here. can't wait on savannah since that is where I used to live before florida.

Joan, My favorite photo is of the seagulls admiring the sunset! However, they are probably thinking, 'Well Crap, now who will feed us?'
I think your flower is a camilla...the leaves don't look like a begonia, but what do I know"?

You mean that first flower wasn't a rose? What do I know! Great photos...make me long for the snow to be gone!

Joan, I am so missing the beach, the roar of the surf and the wonderful sunsets. Your pix are wonderful especially the sunset.

We are back in Southern Michigan, cold and snow covered, but I know that Spring is coming soon.

I could be wrong (who, moi??) but I believe the first red flower is a red gardenia.

I love the contrast between the cactus and the flower below it. And I'll take any one of those chairs with their beautiful surroundings, please!

I can hear those chairs calling my name! Beautiful flowers, I agree with the camellia also.

Savannah, I'm looking forward to those. When I lived in GA I drove over to Savannah every time I could get away for the weekend. Hope you had fresh shrimp on the river front. Or maybe a walk in Bonaventure cemetery?
