But today, here are the rest of the snowy pictures I took during the storm.
I love going down country roads when the trees are hanging with the snow:

I loved the character of this old tree. See the holes in it? I am sure it is the work of a Pileated Woodpecker! The tree reminded me of those scary apple trees in the Wizard of Oz that waved their arms at Dorothy!:
And, our BIGGEST thrill of the day?
As we rounded a curve, I saw HIM, way up in the tree!:

Yes! It is a bald eagle. I used the zoom to get even closer to him, but the snowflakes were coming down so heavy that they blocked his image and it did not come out clear enough.
But, then we saw a SECOND bald eagle flying away, too! I was lucky enough to capture him:

I told my husband that even though I hated the snowstorm, it was SO worth it to see two bald eagles during the storm! Now that I know where I saw them, I am hoping I can get there during a clear day and use my zoom to get closer, clearer shots.
Several of you wanted to know what camera I am using. I got it at Christmas, and believe me it is very easy to use. It literally has an automatic focus feature that is easy to learn and one of the best zooms I have ever seen. The camera also has settings for when I learn to use my own settings rather than relying on the automatic focus all the time. I plan on taking a class in June to learn a little more about my camera.
But here are the stats:
It is a digital Panasonic Lumix. Model # DMC-FZ28.
It has an 18X optical zoom and 10 megapixels.
I ordered it off Amazon.com on sale for around $300.00.
I recommend it to anyone who wants to start learning some really good quality photography without fear. If I can do it, anyone can!
I hope to get better as I learn more.

Another set of beautiful snow photos! Laughed about your comment about the trees and their waving arms - it does look scary! And so thrilling to see the Bald Eagle - I'm always amazed. Poor guy is probably ready for winter to be over!!

Oh wow, I love your photos. Especially the country road shots!!! In fact I have your first shot as my desktop photo right now.
I have a lesser version of the Lumix and in some cases the pictures it takes are fantastic, other times I think I could draw a picture better than the photos I get!

Excellent snow photos! Hope you are melting again! Nothing better than a spring snowstorm! The photos are awesome, love the ones of the Eagles! I call them Evil Eagles..cause they disturb Loon nests and eat the babies.
A ten year record on that snow, we usually get pelted a few times in April..so far so good..supposed to be 77 here today..but like you anything is possible.

I loved your pictures of all the snow I was in high school the year 1950 when we had the big snow It snowed for days the roads were closed. trains couldn't run and of course no school but boy could we sled ride, I love all the seasons and I wouldn't want to live where there was no snow

Ramblin' Mama: Yes, it is always beautiful in photos but you don't feel the chilly air and wind like when you have to deal with it in person. It is nice and sunny today and once again melting it away.

Really beautiful pictures. You are so lucky to get the shots of the bald eagles. My hubby says that I have a thing with birds because if they are around I always manage to capture them in the picture, believe me, it's more luck than anything else.

I love pictures of old country roads, and the snow enhances the beauty even more. You can't get that in the city. The tree does look like one of those Wizard Of Oz trees. I could hear it's voice in my head when I saw it. And the bald eagles were great. One of my favorite birds to see.
