I am so happy to see Robins around now...another sign that warmer weather will come soon and stay! I caught one in my apple tree yesterday. He saw me so he was pretty shy...First he looked away:
And flicked his tail at me to say Pffft!:
A blog, written with humor and heart, that shares nature photography and daily life observations. Grab a cup of coffee, put your feet up and take a few quiet moments to enjoy the wondrous images that Mother Nature gifts us with every single day! (And every once in a while, to enjoy no images and to just giggle).
And flicked his tail at me to say Pffft!:

The robin pictures are great. I like the one where it's spreading it's wings in the beginning of flight. Those kind of shots are always fun. The moon is one of my favorite subject too, because it's so hard to get a decent picture for me. Good stuff. Happy Easter.
Those are some neat pictures. The close ups of the Robin are great.
That last picture is AWESOME!
(Well, they're ALL awesome, actually, but that last one particularly is sublime!)
WOW!! You really have some very nice shots. I like all of them but the lighter picture of the moon is my favorite.
I have a mooon shot, pretty similar to your first one. I'll be putting it (among other pics) on my sidebar sometime in the future, procrastinator that I am. ; )
FANTASTIC moon pix! My camera won't do that for me, so that was a nice treat. I am loving the robins taking baths in my bird bath, they are all getting along now ;).
Hope you had a great day!
YIKES!
I vote for my frog name, of course. It's like, psh, the BEST one...
The last picture on moon is great.
And you mentioned apple tree, hope to see the tree with apples in future. Have not seen one before.
Ratty: I was lucky to get the spread winged shot without it blurring on me! Isn't it fun when you see the photos that you try so hard to get actually turn out?
Grannyann: Thanks! I am just learning how to best use my digital camera, and plan on taking a one day class this June to learn even more tricks with it, so I will be posting more photos as I learn how to do more!
Pretty Things: Thanks so much! I am trying new shots with my camera and learning more each day. Thankfully I have a fun place to post them on my blog with supportive people like you cheering me on!
Cathy: Thanks! It looks even nicer when it is bigger, but my blog couldn't fit in all in the narrow margins...I hope to play with my template before long and have it only one column so I can post better photos. If I get in trouble changing my template, can I count on you to coach me through??? I will PANIC if I can't get it back up quickly!
JJ: Can't wait to see your photos too! Make sure and let us know in your blogpost when you put it up!
Insanity: You should take some shots of your Robins in the bird bath...that would be great!
Rainfield: Sure! I will post some of the beautiful flower blossoms and some of the apples as they bud out and again when they are ripe, no problem. You haven't seen them? I'd love to show you!
Am also seeing Robins everywhere in our gardens, such a proud little bird.
Love the lacy moon photo too!
a shy robin?! I always thought they were always puffing their chests and preening!
I just love the Robins--- Three of them this weekend at or place.
You have a great eye for photography...I really suck at this.
Wonderful close-ups of the robin. The 'lace-moon' picture is also pretty awesome.
Gaston: It is so nice seeing them here after our long, long winter! I didn't know if the lacey moon picture would work...but it turned out ok!
Roshni: They are pretty nervous here, and hard to get close to before they fly off. Last summer, though, my husband was digging some dirt out for a garden, and one got pretty tame, standing on top of a dirt pile waiting for him to turn over new dirt so he could eat the worms! He must have thought we were his smorgasboard! ha
Screen Door: Yes, we are seeing more and more.
Dreamwalker: Thanks...but I am brand new at it..just got a new, nice camera around Xmas. But, I am really excited because I signed up for a community education class to help amateur photographers..it is only a one-day (all day) class, to be held in June. I can't wait! All of you bloggers will have to suffer, because I am sure I will start posting a flurry of photos after I take the class!! ha
I love your Robin!! And those moons shots were beautiful - they looked so mysterious!!
wonderful pics. i LOVE the lacy moon shot. it's gorgeous!!
Well hello there so nice to meet you! I saw your comment at Gaston Studio and wanted to help out your "cause". The bird photos are truly stunning. You may have another calling in retirement :).
Tweet! Tweet!
Shellmo: Thanks so much. That is especially neat coming from you. Your photographs are always awesome.
Melissa: Thanks. I liked it too, but I liked the other moon one better.
Dee-Zigns: Thanks so much for becoming my newest Follower! I hope you can come and comment lots. I love to write and I am just getting into photography and loving that too. Having readers just makes my day that much brighter!
Lynn: Tweet tweet right back atcha, honey. BTW, I haven't joined Tweeter yet...been resisting it. I am on Facebook, and I spend a lot of time blogging, so if I tweeted,my poor hubby would never see me!
I'm just glad this post wasn't about the Robin who pooped on you.
Also, those moon pics kind of creep me out. Are you by any chance a WereSomething?
Beautiful photos! The bird is so pretty:)
I love the moon swimming in the plasma!
Your robin photos are delightful. I just adore these birds because as you say, it means warmer weather is upon us.
Such awesome moon pictures, very impressive!
Kearsie: No, but if you look at Tuesday's post, the subject of poo does come up again. I guess I have been on a theme. Hmmm...maybe therapy is in order?
Erin: thanks! Are you on as a Follower?? thanks!
Sharkbytes: I like that one too. I didn't think it would do that, and it is a nice effect.
Michele: Thanks. I just started taking bird photos about 6 months ago and now I am addicted. I am signed up to take an amateur photography one day class in June. So, my poor blog readers will be subjected to more pictures, I am sure.
