We got home from our marvelous trips to Florida
It took us 4 days of butt-numbing travel by car
to get back to the U.P. of
And, a fewdays later: my daughter called and told us
that her and her fiance
move up their wedding.
They wanted to do an
rather than have a big wedding.
In two or three
They wanted a small, private
we had to go BACK to Florida.
This time we went by plane.
And it was gorgeous.
My daughter did not want her wedding pictures
on the blog.
But, she was fine with me posting the "no people"
So, here goes!!:
The wedding arch.
I loved that you can see two chairs beyond the arch in this photo!:
They had a heart in the sand
where they stepped into to do their vows.
I thought it was such a cute idea.
Oops, So I broke the rules here
and DID show you the bride and groom!:
( I sure wish I could've been barefoot for MY wedding like they got to do!)
The walkway into the rest of their lives together:
When the guests arrived at the wedding, they were greeted by two signs.
This one told them to take off their shoes! Loved it!:
The wedding was wonderful
and the day was gorgeous...
In the 80's with warm, balmy sea breezes.
It ended at sunset, as planned....
Sometimes your childrens' wisdom
But it always delights you.
We had a wonderful time of family love and happiness
which will remain in our memories
for the rest of our lives.
I got a new son-in-law in the family to love, too!
is the DEADLINE
for you to send me your
FREE PHOTO CONTEST photo for this month.
The May 2011theme is:
"Something that Starts with an A"

Oh, that looks like it must have been a lovely wedding!
Wow! The beach decor was really gorgeous! Loved the arch, heart area, walkway and the shells, starfish, etc. What a great idea! So glad you were able to get back down to FL and enjoy this special time with family. :-)
Really beautiful, from flowers to shells to sunset! Obviously the Florida beach weather is more predictable, and warm, than our here in the PNW.
That was a wonderful idea and what a beautiful setting for a wedding! Your pictures are beautiful! What kind of camera do you use and do you take photos on the "auto" setting or do you use the aperture and shutter speed settings?
What a beautifully decorated wedding; just lovely and I know you were so proud. I truly wished I would have done that :)
thanks so much for the lovely scenes!
Congratulations, everything looks beautiful for your daughter's wedding, so inviting. Love these pictures.....:-)Hugs
Very nice, Joan. I know you are proud of your kids. We see weddings like this one on the beach at Ocean Isle in NC when we go there. SO pretty...
BUT--I'd want my pictures shared with the world. Why won't she share them? Bummer.
Congrats to the newlyweds!
Now that's my idea of the perfect wedding, what a great way to start your lives together.
Oops! I will go right now and get a photo out to you. This month has gone by way too fast.
such a beautiful setting to have a wedding! I loved your non-people photos - lol! Hope you're doing well!
Perfect! Beauty, originality, comfort, wit, and love. Sun, moon, sand, water. As I said, perfect.
FELICIDADES to the happy couple!!! Tell them they have lovely feet! ;o)
Sounds like a beautiful way to get married... and seen from this side of the Atlantic it sounds like something out of the movies! :o)

Gorgeous pics! Especially the sunset. I've always said I don't want to get married, but if I did, I know exactly where. A nearby arboretum that has roaming peacocks.
I completely forgot about the photo contest this month. But unless you wanna see my backside, I had no 'A'. ; )
How lovely and simple, a wonderful idea. It is an idyllic scene. Congrats to all involved.
