This is the last set of our Feb./March 2011 trip to Florida.
We went back down in April for my daughter Kim's wedding....
but we didn't get to do any sightseeing then!
So, sit back and enjoy!
I am still smitten with HIM:
What are you waiting for? Here is YOUR chair!:
One more shot of the lovely coot ducks we saw:
Looking south down Madeira Beach at dusk:
Colorful flowers were such a treat to see in February:
That wonderful egret with the green around his eyes that visited us on the causeway!:
This sign kinda freaked me out!
(But thankfully, we didn't see any):
Some of my FAVORITE tropical birds: Pelicans!!:
Every night we would go down to the ocean to catch sunsets!:
All of them were breathtaking:
It may be a few years before we return to that area of Florida again...
my daughter and husband and grandbaby are moving back to Michigan!! SQUEE!!
(Can you tell I am one happy grandma?)
I will miss going there, but hey, we can always go on a trip together back down next time!!
Next up on my blog? My Savannah, Georgia photos!! Stay tuned!!!
so you past blogs have been about where I live now and your future ones are where i lived most of my life. can't wait to see what you found in my home town of Savannah. may i see Bonaventure first?
That is exciting to have your family return. I hope mine do one day. Love the first shot best but all are great.
Joan, They are all lovely but you know what struck me the most? The egret's feet on the fence post; his toes spread wide and it just was so child-like...
Beautiful as always!
ah...so want to be on the beach today...lovely pics...and happy mothers day! savannah, nice...great place...
As always, spectacular shots! I've never seen an egret with the green around the eye. Did you notice he is banded?
Yay that your daughter is moving back to Michigan and you get to see your grandbaby more often!! You pictures are gorgeous and I really do wish I was sitting in that chair right this very moment. Happy Mother's Day!
Oh the beauty. The sunsets are magnificent. Thanks for shirring these lovely photos.
The last 3 shots were my favorites! Wonderful!
Wow! So lovely!!!! That first picture is my favorite!!!
I just love, love, love the beach pictures. I wonder if that's a different species of the "Coot" because I've seen American Coot ducks with white bills...never red ones. huh.
Love that palm shot, too, btw!
Thanks for another great trip to the beach. We're cold and wet here today.
Happy Mother's Day!
For me , this Florida trip of yours is like a gift that keeps on giving and giving. I enjoy your posts. You do a fine job.
Great photos, of course..
ooh... that is a common moorhen..
also called a waterhen... they are in the
same family as the coot but slightly different.
Great photos Joan, I love the eye in your first shot. I am amazed at how blue the water is in the first sunset photo, wow!
Your photos are just amazing. The colours, the scenes the perspectives. All beautiful.
Hi Joan, I know you are thrilled to have your kids moving 'home'......
Love your FL photos... seeing the beach ones reminded me of where we were this past week --though in North Carolina. Such a beautiful time of year to be at the beach.
Great sky/sun pictures...
Nothing better than a Grandbaby close to you for a visit! Great Florida Photos..if you ask me it is still cold and rainy so anything else looks good:)
A nice selection of photos. I liked your sunsets - Dave
Lucky you to be there to capture these shots!
