Deer, Roots and Woods!

A mixture of
some pictures we took in the woods...
Enjoy!!

I always love looking for tree roots with a little art in them:

And then I also play in black and white!:

Did I mention that it is deer hunting season in Michigan from Nov. 15th thru Nov. 30th?
I am kind of waiting for it to be over.
I don't go out to get pictures then in the woods.
I am not suicidal.
(Despite any rumors you may have heard.)
LOL

But, when I see this beauty, I cannot bear to think of hunting season:

Run, Bambi...RUNNNNN!!!:

Besides tree roots, I have always liked tree mushrooms.
I am sure you have noticed that about me:

No.
NO! BAMBI!  I was NOT talking to you....
I said RUNNNNNNN!!!:

Gheesh.

I hope she listened and is hiding safely in the woods.

I will be hunting her in a different, safer way soon...
(with my lens).

I am with you 100% Run Bambi Run from those hunters. these are really good. i have never taken a photo of a deer except in captivity. I also love roots with pizazz and mushrooms. I have a folder called roots/stumps/gnarls... i like bumps and weird things on trees and these roots would go just fine in my folder.

The deer are slim and cute.

The tree roots are amazing. You have to wonder how the tree remains upright! and the shots of Bambi are lovely.

Love seeing the tree roots.. Isn't it amazing how that tree can live --like it's just hanging on for its life?????

Of course I love seeing the sweet little deer also. I agree---Run Bambi RUN..

Hugs,
Betsy

You are having so much fun with that camera. I like the spontaneous art form that we have and it is so wonderful to share.

What a wonderful walk in the woods! The tree root seems to have a little pathway leading to a gnome's home. Hang in there, beautiful deer, only 3 more days.

If only the deer could throw stones to help even the score. Or maybe that's not such a good idea!

Nice walk about in the woods.
We have deer that get into our yard every
night... until Teas chases them back into
the woods.

Beautiful shots! I live in Bucks County and it seems like the deer get hunted by cars. It's a shame that so many are on the road this time of year. Deer not cars. :)

The mushrooms are wonderful. You photograph nature in a special way. It shows in your pictures how much you love nature. It is sad to think the deer population will be thinned out this month.

Beautiful pictures of roots and bambi. Hope most of them survive the hunting season.
Wishing you a nice week.
Greetings from Berit.
