We have a Winner!!!: February's Photo Contest Results

We have a WINNER!!!

I have contacted three seperate judges from my e-mail list.

I explained the contest.

I wished them good luck, telling them I had just given them a very, very tough job to do.

But they came through, bravely choosing their favorite!

(Bless their hearts, because I couldn't narrow it down to only ONE winner!)

So, without further delay....

(drum roll, please.....)

The WINNER IS:

Congratulations, Judy (Squirrel Queen)....you did a WONDERFUL JOB!

She has TWO blogs which you can find HERE and HERE.

(If I were you, I'd send this to a company that does prints on canvas and get this baby done in a 18X20 and hang it on my wall, like a masterpiece!)

I am sending you (by e-mail) your FEBRUARY 2010 winner's widget which you can proudly display on your blog.

I want to thank ALL of the people who entered, you did a fantastic job.

I also want to mention that other honorable mentions were:

--Ratty for his deer photo

--Kim for her grasshopper photo

--Lynn for her dog's nose photo

and

--Mark for his giraffe photo

******************************************************************************

Don't forget to enter the MARCH 2010 free PHOTO CONTEST.

That had to have been a hard one, but that picture definitely is amazing! Not to mention the duck!!!! It almost doesn't look real, does it?

Jientje: Everyone who entered did a great job...this one was really fantastic! That duck is amazing!

Brian: You called it! It is gorgeous.

DJan: They don't look real in person, either, and I think Judy did some texturizing when she edited it, although I don't know for sure, we will have to ask her..but it is amazing!

Thank you Joan, and a big thanks to the judges. Congratulations to the runners-up and all the wonderful entries. Everyone's' photos were excellent.

BTW, the photo was lighten just a touch but otherwise it was not enhanced. This little fellow was strutting his stuff for a lady friend.

That is a beautiful bird. I have seen them at zoo's but don't know what kind it is. Keep up the good work with the contest.

Congratulations to the winner and the honorable mentions. I think the judges deserve congratulations as well because this was a very difficult choice this month.

Eva: It sure was! And Miss Eva, where are your entries??? There have been two months now and I haven't gotten an Eva picture...c'mon now!

Cathy: yes, they were...and I liked yours too! Make sure you enter this month too!

Betsy: Yes it is beautiful. Now this month, I fully expect BOTH you and George to participate with sending in a photo to the "Something green or something Irish" theme..no excuses now that you have gotten new cameras!

SquirrelQueen: That is so interesting because it looks so texturized it could be an oil painting...that is why I encouraged you to order one on canvas..it would look SO beautiful, like it had been painted...you did a fantastic job..congrats..your widget is on the way. Don't forget, you can enter every month, so you need to get busy and enter one for March.

L.D. Yes, it is gorgeous...I liked your bird, too! Please keep entering each month.

TechnoBabe: yes, I will pass that on to them, they did a great job with a difficult task.

I just bought a new Olympus DSLR camera to get away from my point and shoot, so as soon as I learn how to use it, will enter. Been taking pix of family but now that weather is getting better here, will get out and shoot some green.....
