I have FINALLY gotten outside to get some winter photos...
but I vowed to post all of my "old"
late autumn photos on my blog
before
starting to show my winter photos...
Lucky for you,
this is the last of the late autumn pictures that I had taken. LOL
We spotted this playful squirrel on a hike in late October:
And you know by now, my love for tree roots!:
And of course, walkways into the woods for a hike...
doesn't it make you wonder what is around the bend?
Somehow, this playful squirrel just kept showing up!:
Tree root drama in black and white!:
Another angle of this tree root wonder!:
Love those foam swirls in river water too!:
But, like all good things,
autumn had to come to an end in the great white north....
So, we followed that path
on out of our hike...
and towards winter....
So....
stay tuned for winter pictures
from the U.P. (Upper Peninsula) of Michigan
coming in my future posts....
we have about 6 mos. of winter here, so you may get just a little tired
of seeing all that white!!
Of course, I am taking a few tropical breaks from winter in January and probably February,
so I will throw some of those warmer pictures your way too!

I love the squirrel photo!!! It's so cute! :D
i was wondering when you would start posting winter picture...:D But we love the fall ones too...that little squirrel just commands attention...when we camped at Brimley the last time, we had some cheeky chipmunks that weren't afraid to come get their snack right out of your hand, or the bowl in your lap....
Yay, photos of two of my favorite things. Squirrels and tree roots are always winners in my book, great photos Joan.
