Rockin' Water!

Color and water
have been my captures
over the last few weeks.

Before I show you the gorgeous autumn colors up here,
I decided to share with you today
some of the water photos I have gotten
over the last few weeks.

Waterfalls are always fun for me:

But, Lake Superior
always has many moods
and many different shoreline conditions
to delight any photographer.

Recently, we took a trip way up to the most northern tip of the U.P.
of Michigan...along the Eagle Harbor, Michigan shoreline....

It was a windy day which I was thrilled about...
because
that means dramatic, splashing whitecaps on Lake Superior!

And the rocky shoreline there is like lava rocks!:

I was loving the splashes!~:

Can you hear those waves hitting the rocks?:

I could've stayed here all day just watching the waves!:

It was calmer in this spot,
but I loved the lichen growing on the lava-like rocky shores:

SPLASH!!:

The harder the wind,
the better the waves!:

Nothing more refreshing!:
I'll be posting
some color for you soon,
and
more of these shoreline moments....

Hope you have some refreshing moments going on in your life too!!

I always think that capturing water in motion is one of the ultimate challenges for a photographer. You deal with the challenge well.

These photos are terrific! I can almost hear the waves hitting the rocks!

I was trying to capture the strong waves the riptides were creating in Ocean City, MD a couple of weeks ago. I guess my little Nikon Coolpix camera doesn't have a powerful enough lens.

Just returned from our vacation in the U.P. Always sad when we have to leave. Already counting the days until next year.

So pretty! It's almost like being at the ocean. I'll bet it brought you calmness and clarity, the waves tend to do that. It looks cold but I'd guess it wasn't. Before you know there will be ice caps!
