Trying to get caught up with showing you some of my
summer blossoms from my garden today.
This is the center of one of my poppies. They always remind me of tissue paper:
This is a fuzzy poppy seed pod:
Another poppy seed pod:
The back of a columbine, full of spider webs and seed hairs from the air:
Goldfinches in the feeder during apple blossom time:
White Forget-Me-Nots:
Are these Wood Sorels? I am not sure:
Yellow iris! Can you believe this was natural camera bokeh in the photo? I thought it looked like a watercolor!:
A closeup of the inside of the yellow iris:
All of these blooms are now only memories.
But that is what is so wonderful about photography...
these flowers live on because of the images made.

I thought I had goldfinches visiting my feeder until I saw your goldfinches. I need to downgrade mine to kind-of-dull-yellow-finches.
Fabulous macro shots. Any chance you can put the settings under/on the photos?
Fantastic photos ! A lovely aray of flowers you have !
Lovely, the poppy pods made me think of "Audrey" from Little Shop of Horrors!
gosh, what gorgeousness! LOVE the poppy seed furbud. and yes, that natural yellow bokeh shot is awesome!!!
I love your yellow iris photo! So perfect!!! I love flowers :) We have some really pretty little pink flowers in front of my office that no one seems to be able to identify :/
the gold on the last shots is magnificent. and i like the back side shots, so beautiful, especially the poppy. i have never seen a poppy growing in real life
I too thought the Iris was a water colour. Amazing photography. I take my hate off to you.
So beautiful. I love the close-ups. I can smell them from here!
I don't think I had ever seen a yellow iris! Lovely!
Okay, these are prize winning shots but that iris with the natural Bokeh.... you could have knocked me off my chair with a dust bunny.... BOUNS!
Could I make a request, I know that other bloggers are still having issues with posting comments. I have such a time trying to post on yours and a few others that do not have their comment page set as a popup. I have to log out then back in a few times just to finally get your comment block to show up. Then today it told me twice I did not have access to your comment page. I think blogger is still having trouble for some. But if you would make your comment page a pop up, We that are still having trouble can post easier. I learned this from some other bloggers.
God bless and keep you safe.
I am in awe of your stunning photos.
Ooooh! I saw "Flowers" and clicked fast! These are gorgeous! And now captured memories--even the goldfinches. The poppy is so rich with color! And that background on the iris does look painted in watercolor. Lovely, as usual. Thanks much!! :):)
Lovely...and I don't even know what a bokeh is!
gorgeous blooms, vivid colors!!
i often look thru my summer garden pictures in the middle of a snowstorm, with a nice big cup of hot coco!!
Hi Joan, Gorgeous flower pictures.... I love the macros--because you can see things you may not see otherwise.... Love that Iris especially..
Hugs,
Betsy
So bokeh is kind of like depth of field? And setting the aperture to create that type of effect?
The bokeh photo is quite captivating. I also like how you use a fuzzy look in some of your photos, like the columbine. I am still trying to figure out how to do crisp photos. Smitten's are always so clear and sharp, and I can't seem to capture that degree of sharpness.
Some fantastic shots there
Love your pictures:-)
I love the yellow iris, it does looks like water colors. I'm not sure if your flower is Wood Sorrel, I think wood sorrel would have 5 petals. Maybe Star of Bethlehem?
