Today, I am showing you some pictures of some ice
on Lake Superior...
if you can stand the cold outside to take photos,
it can provide some fantastic views
of what Mother Nature's chill can do.
A blog, written with humor and heart, that shares nature photography and daily life observations. Grab a cup of coffee, put your feet up and take a few quiet moments to enjoy the wondrous images that Mother Nature gifts us with every single day! (And every once in a while, to enjoy no images and to just giggle).

i have never been in cold so cold as to freeze water like this. must be really really cold to freeze moving water. the coldest temp i have been in is 16 above and only 3 or 4 times at that in my life time. freezing temps to me is anything below 40
More spectacular photos from you, Joan. And I do appreciate all your hard work in getting them!

I just can't believe how cold it must be to create those icicles.
Gorgeous pictures! Thank you!
Superior in winter is wonderful. I really would like to see it.
Beautiful and unique scenes.
Wow! I'd say more but it's too darn tough typing in these mittens!
Oh yes those stringlike ice remains are beautiful, but the color of the rocks so lovely as well. I wonder if they are rich in iron too!
