Beautiful Ice on Lake Superior Shores!

Today, I am showing you some pictures of some ice
on Lake Superior...
if you can stand the cold outside to take photos,
it can provide some fantastic views
of what Mother Nature's chill can do.

I loved the "ice caps" on top of the rocks in the water:

I have a new appreciation for our Spring day today
after reviewing these pictures, how about you?

  1. i have never been in cold so cold as to freeze water like this. must be really really cold to freeze moving water. the coldest temp i have been in is 16 above and only 3 or 4 times at that in my life time. freezing temps to me is anything below 40

  7. Oh yes those stringlike ice remains are beautiful, but the color of the rocks so lovely as well. I wonder if they are rich in iron too!
