Spring Arrived in the U.P.!

Today, I have a hodgepodge of photos I took
as the big meltdown continued in the U.P.

Our snow melting causes high, rushing rivers
and duck and fowl migrations
which I love to see.

A Merganser pair...love these ducks!:

Foggy morning at our lake shore as the ice melted in the warmer air:

I was thrilled to see these wild swans at one of our favorite beaver dams this spring:

LOOK who's peeking at me through the weeds?!!!
A MOOSE!!!!
I took this with my zoom lens, I wasn't this close, so don't worry!:

This was the first turtle we saw of Spring 2012, it was back in April:

I had a photography class assignment to take a picture of a reflection...
I took this one, but ended up not using it for class...I did a different one.

I hope that you are "reflecting" on your wonderful weekend
and getting out in Nature to enjoy it.

We have had rain and COLD (only in the 50's F) today, but it is supposed to warm up to the 70's tomorrow.

The swan photo is beautiful!!! I think it's my favorite; but that male duck was impressive, too!

Wonderful spring photos. I see the water has that brown rust look up there also. Swans and turtles are my favorites but you have some great landscapes.

Love the rushing water pictures and that moose is awesome! It was cold down below today, too! But at least it was sunny!

Spectacular. My favourite has to be the foggy morning one. I love this shot.

Wow how wonderful to be out there seeing all those. I love most the color of the waters in the first photo and the lone tree reflection.

We never have our binoculars when we see Mergansers. They are delightful up close.
