Hoarfrost: Part TWO!

As mentioned in my other blogpost,
I took so many photos of our recent hoarfrost on the trees and plants...
that I had many more to share with you.

So we will continue again today....

Weeds take on a whole new look when they get covered in shiny frost!:

And, just LOOK how neat the frost crystals are up
close and personal:

And the hillsides?

MAGICAL!:

When the sun shines down on the bushes, they absolutely
GLOW!:

See?

SEE why I get so excited
when I look out my window
and notice that we had hoarfrost arrive overnight?:

I will be doing one more blogpost
with the pictures of this glorious day, so stay tuned!

Wow, the blue in that sky is unbelievably... well, blue! Love the hoarfrot on the weeds; makes each of them look special.

these are all wonderful. isn't it odd how the background colors change with which way you are shooting. i love all the colors in the background, and i like weeds as much or more than flowers. the frost really dresses them up. I don't have a single bridge photo in my archives, the ones around here the traffic is so awful i don't want to stop and try for one

Beautiful posts (both of them), Joan, of the hoarfrost. It is so pretty --and makes for some great pictures. Thanks for sharing.

You know what I like about your photos? You show us beauty in everyday things which we might have totally missed had you not pointed it out to us. Thank you for that.

Hello sweet lady, you would love where I live today, everything is covered in hoar frost, it is -30 so none has melted, I am looking out the window at the most beautiful tree covered in white - reminds me of a brides dress - absolutely beautiful.....:-)Hugs

It does make wonderful close ups. They are just like you say crystal covered.

So awesome Joan! The whites are so white, and the background colors are amazing. There are definitely some good things about winter!

You really do justice to the hoarfrost!! You make hoarfrost most enjoyable when you can see the crystal formations.
Thanks.

Beautiful photos Joan. We call it ice fog here but it's all the same, I love to see it on sunny days.
