Well,
I am slowly catching up to the seasons...
This blogpost will show you some photos I took at the end of last Autumn
and straight into the beginning of last winter in the U.P.
Late fall pine needles, awaiting their blanket of snow:
A twisted tree knot in its bed of fallen autumn leaves:
Doves checking out the first snowfall on the apple trees:
This apple didn't get a chance to ripen and fall to the ground
before we had gotten our first storm:
To me, cemeteries look so forlorn and lonely
in the winter!:
(But I LOVE that old gate there!)
Someone looked particularly gorgeous
against the white snow, though:
He is saying: "I KNEW I should have flown south like my other bird friends! Dang it!":
Sometimes the snow comes so fast, all of the leaves don't have a chance to fall off first, either:
But that's okay...
because it gives us photographers something to do
that we really, REALLY love!
