I know this has been a rather long series
of photographs
of one spot.
But these waterfalls are a series of many, many cascading falls
making them seem
like a new waterfall
every few feet.
And then...
throw in ice sculptures and snow tufts of beauty...
and
well,
I just couldn't stop clicking the shutter.
So, today...
we continue.
First with a series of black and whites:
Doesn't this ice formation look like a crocodile?:
Crystal clear ice lace:
And snow/ice plates!:
Ruffles of ice!:
All that ACTION and rushing water,
right next to the fragile overhang of clear ice!:
A closeup of the alligator teeth
in black and white:
Refreshing...
all of nature's good things...
fresh water, clean snow, crystal ice....!:
A perfect place to slide down
into the rushing water!:
No. No.
You first.
Really...
go ahead...
I can wait...
first let me say NO way will I be first or even last.. brrrr and yes to the gator. it does look just like one and you already know i love the lace
ReplyDeleteWow! That sure does look like an alligator!! Ha!
ReplyDeleteYou are brave to go out there close to the water to take these great photos Joan! It might hit 50 here on Friday!! Then back into the 20's again... I'll enjoy it while I can. But spring is getting closer!! And my baby animals will start appearing..I can't wait! Take care.
Are we sure that's not an alligator? Beautiful scenes form nature captured here.
ReplyDeleteWow, that totally looks like an alligator! Great shots....the ones in color still spur thoughts of jigsaw puzzles!
ReplyDeleteI bet a lot of the ice is going away today. We are melting today a whole lot more than before. It leaves all this dirt that I guess will get washed away with the rain over the weekend.
ReplyDeleteSo BEAUTIFUL!!!
ReplyDeleteBut so DARN COLD looking...

Ice and snow. We have had the works this winter. I didn't seen anything like you have pictures of but it was cold, really cold. Now, of all things, we might hit 60 ยบ here today.
ReplyDeleteIt's nice for me to admire winter from afar. Looks cold and altogether lovely.
ReplyDeleteI'd last about 3 seconds in that water brrr, great shots. Now go warm up with a hot chocolate.
ReplyDeleteThe alligator does look like one, are you sure it wasn't a frozen creature? :)
ReplyDeleteGreat views of this beautiful area. I like the shot of the bottom of the falls in your last post, it reminds me of a table centerpiece.
I am so behind on comments, we had a short burst of nice weather and decided to work on some projects around the house. Done for awhile, the temps are dropping and snow is coming.
