Antique Car Show: Part ONE

We attended two antique car shows this summer.

I just love going to them.

So for the next few posts,
I
will be sharing photos
of them with you.

Don't ask me the names or years of the cars....
I am worse
at naming them
than I am
of naming wildflowers.
LOL

But I know I love them all.

Their classic lines,
their colors,
their grills...
their interiors...
everything about them!

Look at this beautiful BLUE CONVERTABLE!!:

Loved, loved, loved it's grill!:

And the dashboard!:

Look at THIS classic beauty!:

Shouldn't Bonnie and Clyde be in there somewhere?:

This red spare on the rear of this car
had me
the minute I saw it!:

And the ART DECO side windows?
Help me Rhonda!:

Somehow, it just looks more natural
in
black and white.
Right?:

Stay tuned....
I will be doing a few more blogposts
with more pictures
of these beautiful cars!!

Now that's how to build cars! Beautiful! And the BW does look more authentic.
Gotta comment on the protruding knobs, steel dashboards, no seatbelts, spoke steering wheels. But those cars were tanks! And with Mom's arm protruding arm as protection, who needs airbags!?!

We maybe as "antique" as the cars.

What a blue beauty!

Fantastic machines - expertly captured. That last picture is just right - and perfect for monochrome.

Works of art...
They just don't make 'em like that anymore!

Beautiful, Joan... We love seeing the old antique cars also. We saw some when we were visiting Yorktown several years ago. My brother used to have one which looked a little like the one where you talked about Bonnie and Clyde.

I got my license on a 1950 Pontiac... When I see one of them, I get so excited....

Thanks for sharing. I'm looking forward to more.
Hugs,
Betsy

I'm lucky. Living so close to Detroit, we have car shows and cruises, and all sorts of things like that all the time here. But I don't know anything about cars except how to fix whatever I'm driving at the time. I like old cars, but I never learn anything more than the fact that they look nice. Everyone else around here can rattle off anything there is to know.

Cool cars. Great pics!

I really, really love car shows. The one here isn't until next month so your great photos will tide me over until then. The monochrome shot is my favorite.

These are indeed some groovy cars, and the black and white does look natural.

Otin: Thanks! That car just screamed out their names. ha

Ratty: Glad there is someone like ME out there that has no idea of their names or years.

Linda: Thanks!

SquirrelQueen: So glad you liked them.

Bossy: I love looking at "parts" of old cars because they have so much character!

Jientje: Yes, I had fun for sure.

Cathy: I would not like having to stay home at the campground all summer..it would feel like prison to me..so I give you and all the other private campground owners a lot of credit for doing their jobs for everyone else to enjoy summer.

Technobabe: yes, they are all special cars.
