We are continuing today
with
more of the antique car show!
I thought the detail of this car was really different:
I had never seen one before. The lines were really art nouveau to me:
I fell in LOVE with this hood ornament.
If I had my drill with me,
I would have wanted to drill it right off that car and take it with me....
(if I wasn't such an honest girl and a chicken besides!):
Or THIS one!! I mean...what is not to love here?:
This one would look GREAT on our truck, the way we are always running in the woods looking for wildlife and ducks to photograph:
Or this one...with a sleeker looking bird on it:
Or maybe something that looks like your family crest?:
Maybe I was just born at the wrong time...because MAN, I love these old cars!:
Ford was classy back then....loved this hood ornament too!:
(And NO, I really am not quite that ROUND as the reflection shows in the bottom of this picture...the round cap distorted my shape....really!! IF you look above the ridges at the reflection...it is more realistic.) (That is my story and I'm sticking with it. LOL)

What a show. It seems they had at least one of every old car ever manufactured. I love the old classic and antique cars too! Great photos.
hood ornaments are so cool...and now you dont see any except maybe a logo...those were the days...
I would rather see you at the round cap.
Hohohoho...
Great pictures. Go ahead, take a drill with you next time. I dare you!
So, you're a hood ornament kind of gal. I think I am more of a rear end kind of gal.
Wow - wonderful pictures!!
Oh Joan, I didn't know you were pregnant!!!! ha ha ha ha... Seriously, I wouldn't even have noticed that reflection if you hadn't have pointed it out.... Funny!!!!
Love all of the pictures you have shown... I love to see the entire cars though --and then the names of them... Do you have any of them???
Hugs,
Betsy
Nice photos Joan. They just don't make 'em like that anymore. I used to have a friend who drove an Avanti...I thought it was an odd looking car, but wish I owned one now...
Now you've made me wonder why they don't have such gorgeous things on the front of cars any more. It sure does make sense that a person should be able to find the hood ornament that makes it especially personal and get it put onto a car! Don't you think there's a market for something like that? Great pictures!!!
Oh you are hilarious. I would not have thought that was your reflection unless you pointed it out :) They had great car hood ornaments back in the day didn;t they?
I love how you photographed these antique cars! Wish I had a convertible.....wouldn't that be nice to be driving thru the UP this fall, hair flying in the wind?!!
Great photos!
I absolutely love these hood ornaments, your love of these old cars shows in every picture my friend.....:-)Hugs
Hiii .... glad to see your blog, I am a blogger Indonesia. Welcome stranger!
I love the ford logo close up. Sexy cool.
Yes. They have elegance.
The existence ticks away days of the glory in the times.
Thank you for valuable guidance.

Millions wouldn't but I believe you, no-ones that round!! Fantastic collection of cars, it's good to know people put so much time and effort into looking after them.
Now hood ornaments are something I can appreciate about a car. I've never been much of a car person, but I have always loved hood ornaments. They should have never gone out of style.
The hood ornaments may be one of my favorite parts of these old cars....and the tail fins, and the wheels, etc.
Gaston: Thanks, yes they had many, many makes and kinds of cars...I was busy snapping away!
Brian: yes, those were the days, my friend, we thought they'd never end...ha Actually, some of these are a lot older than I remember, and very cool!
Rainfield: funny man!
Bossy: Don't tempt me! You will see me in one of my own "Local Police Reports" blogposts. ha
Technobabe: LOL I like 'em coming OR going. ha
Together: Thanks so much.
Betsy: I took plenty of both, but didn't want to make that many blogposts of them. ha I really love the details of the old cars, so decided I would focus my photos on them this time...many people don't take time to look at things in detail.
Pat: I had never seen an Avanti before...they are low to the ground and quite different looking.
DJan: I bet those car collectors would be able to tell you where to get them, or just go on EBay..I am smitten with them, and might just have to look into getting one for MY car too...I guess a few years ago, there was a bunch of reports of vandals stealing them off cars...too bad because I am sure they are valuable.
Loree: They sure did!
Shelley: My hubby does have a Fiat convertable (2 seater) stored away...I think it is from the 70's or late 60's that he wants to restore--so look for me, blond hair flying in the wind in a few years in the U.P. ha
Eva: Thanks!
Bernie: I loved those cars, so glad it showed in my writing and photos of them. {hugs}
Rema: Hi! So glad you stopped by, and I hope you join(ed) on as a Follower! I will check out your blog today too!
Sharon: yes, I think the hood ornaments were kinda sexy too!
Ruma: thanks for stopping by my blog and enjoying the photos!
Ryan: Yes, I am very grateful for those that have this as a hobby, because they are preserved for so many people to enjoy!
Ratty: You are so right! You and me should restart the trend and put them on our cars. Are you with me on this one?
SquirrelQueen: Yes, me too! The details are so beautiful!
