Antique Car Show: Final Episode

Ok.

You have suffered through enough
of my antique car show photos.

Today will be the last of the series...
for now....

But HOW can you not LOVE a good rumble seat???:

Or a roadster's tire frame:

Or this roadster!:

Or a HOT RED truck!:

I just wanna go for a ride in this.  Just once!!:

As you may have noticed....I kinda love red cars:

And shiny parts of cars:

See what I mean?

And I gotta end with
my
favorite
hood ornament!!!!:

There.

I think I'm done now.

That is...
until
NEXT YEAR's
antique car show....

  11. Oh I so want that roadster. I can see myself in the parking lot at work. Everyone's jaw would drop open. Oh and that red Ford truck .... believe it or not, you'll still see a truck or two from that era on our roads.

  12. Thanks Joan! I didn't suffer at all. I'm lucky enough to own an old vehicle myself!
you posted a lot of great photos of some "vintage iron." They don't make 'em like that anymore!

  13. Hi Joan, I want that red car (next to the last picture).... It looks like one that my brother had in the '40's. His was black though--but his had one of those sun visors also... Love the RED one though!!!!

Thanks for sharing.... I also love that huge old red truck!!!!
    Hugs,

  14. What a wonderful set of pictures, I feel as if I've had the priviledge of riding in all those old, and beautiful cars.
    Such a fascinating era.

  16. I think I like the truck. That's mostly because I grew up around more trucks than cars. My dad has always had a pickup. I think I appreciate the old cars and trucks more now than I did when I was a kid. They have more personality than any of the newer ones.

  18. The old truck is so cool, I wouldn't mind have one like that. It's hard not to turn and look at something in red. Great series of photos Joan, I really enjoyed you visit to the car show.

Yours may have come to an end but our car show is next month.

  19. Eva: Thanks, hope your hubby loved them too!

Denise: You are welcome..I took many more photos, but thought everyone would be too bored to see THAT many on the blog.ha

Brian: I am so glad you shared them with him..that makes me happy.

    Rainfield: Haha..I am an antique already...because the definition of an antique is anything 50 years or older. :0}

Arti: I loved that roadster too..wouldn't it be fun to go on the beach with it?

Bossy: Believe it or not, I had MORE photos from the shows, but I didn't want to bore everyone with more than four posts full of them.

Bernie: thanks, Sweetie..It was fun going to see them in person too.

    Mellodee: they sure DID!

Loree: I think if I had that roadster, I would SKIP work...drive by and wave at them and head out on the road. LOL

    Pat: they sure don't !!

Betsy: I will try and steal it and drive on down to Tennessee and pick up you and George and we will go waterfall hunting. LOL

Brit: It was a fascinating era, but then again, I would have missed my microwave and DVD. ha

Linda: The hood ornaments are my favorite thing on those old cars and trucks.

Ratty: They sure did, along with gymormic SPRINGS when you rode on a bumpy road, right?

Far Side: Thanks, so glad you liked them!

SquirrelQueen: thanks so much...glad you can get to a car show in person...I will be waiting for YOUR photos then. ha

  20. I have a soft spot for vintage Fords just like you. As I browsed your collection of car show photos, I just know that I found someone who shares my admiration for the best British vintage car manufacturer. Old coupes and roadsters attract me the most. How about you? =)
