Yes, this is the FISH frying that my hubby caught.
And, yes, it was delicious!
Today, we went to our family's grave sites and did some gardening to get them ready for Memorial Day. On the way, we had to stop on some woods roads and take some more evidence of spring!
Here are some Marsh Marigolds:
And, the cherry tree blossoms just came out TODAY. These are the first we have seen:
And, the wildflowers I wait for every spring: Trilliums!!!:
Your pictures are just beautiful. Have a great three day weekend.
ReplyDeleteAnother great start to the day. I love to see your photos and fish frying yiks. I am now hungry at 9:30 am
ReplyDeleteGod, woman!! You have made me very hungry for fresh fish!! THAT looks yummy! I can just hear it sizzling! Did ya look for mushrooms in among those trilliums??
ReplyDeleteThe fish looks fantastic. I haven't stopped thinking about his thumb! At least you got good fish out of it! :)
ReplyDeleteJudy: Thanks, and you stay safe on the roads, too.
ReplyDeleteCarol: Thanks..it was as yummy as it looks. Sorry about making you hungry!
Cathy: I guess the picture really does make one hungry, and the fish was wonderful. I didn't see any mushrooms, I think the Morels are all done by now!
Insanity: It was fantastic! His thumb is just fine, so don't fret!
How can the same person post pictures of blooded foreign objects in urine pots one day and then pictures of daffodils and cherry blossoms the next? I guess this is called versatility ...!
ReplyDeleteSpring has sprung when the cherry blossoms appear ...
ReplyDeleteJune in Oz
That dish looks wonderful. Wish I could have some!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous flowers too.
Blessings, Star

ReplyDeletejust had to take a break and share about little Maggie..life has changed so drastically for this family in a week. Please pray.
You do have some wonderful photos! I love fish so I'm sure fresh fish would have been right up my alley ; )
ReplyDeleteI've never seen or heard of Marsh Marigolds. Very pretty! Seems most of the blossoms on our tree's are gone or almost gone. Even the Lilacs are going the other way. I'll be missing Spring but loving summer!
Sharon
Gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteLove the fish fry and again the flower pictures are beautiful. How wonderful that you went to the graves to remember family. I hope you have a wonderful Memorial Weekend, stay safe and enjoy.....:-) Hugs
ReplyDeleteIt does look like spring. Love the trilliums!
ReplyDeleteThe cherry tree blossoms seems to be more "out-spoken" than the rest.
ReplyDeleteI love your pictures! Your front porch looks heavenly.
ReplyDeleteTeresa: Yes, I saw that about that little girl.It is so sad.
ReplyDeleteNew England: Marsh Marigolds live in wetlands or moist, wet areas and are often called "cowslips", they are super easy to grow if you have a pond or other damp area. Wow you are really ahead of us in your plants...our lilac leaves have only just popped out, so the flower buds haven't even appeared yet. I LOVE LOVE Lilacs, they are one of my all time favorite flowers, so you can be sure when they bloom here, I will be posting some pictures of them!
JJ: thanks!
Bernie: Thanks. I am really looking forward to NEXT weekend too...one of my neices is getting married and my two daughters and my grandkids will be coming here for the wedding...some of the family have not seen each other's babies yet, so it will be such a nice famiy reunion and all over a happy occasion. I can't WAIT !!
Catherine: I love the Trilliums too. And YOUR garden??: absolutely breathtaking. How I envy your green thumb and longer growing season! Half the flowers you post about are ones that don't grow well in our (too cold) Zone 4 (sometimes we have to get Zone 3~!!)
Rainfield: Yes, you are correct. I am waiting for our apple trees to blossom...they are just getting their leaves now.
Lesley: Thanks. And we love sitting out on our porch swing on the porch on summer evenings!!!
My eyes keep going back to the fish. I love fish and that looks great!
ReplyDeleteRatty: It was delicious. I am a really big fan of freshwater fish, I could have it 2 or 3 times a week all summer long. Yummmmmm!
ReplyDeleteOh yummy yummy, I want some!!
ReplyDeleteMommaYoung: Wow, you must have been reading some older blogposts...ha
ReplyDeleteThat's great!! yes, I LOVE fish!! That is why I am upset over seeing Cormorants in our lake!! :-}
