I don't know about your neck of the woods....
but, here....
we are getting pretty tired of winter.
Even the birds seem to agree....
Chipping Sparrow:
Chickadee:
Purple Finch:
Junco:
Pileated Woodpecker:
Purple Finch Pair:
More snow coming down today.....
(sigh).
I say: it is for the birds!!
Hope you are feeling more Spring than us today!
I am trying to be patient about the "end of winter thing".
I see it's not working for me....
The birds don't seem to mind at all. Last week we had 2 beautiful days and I thought that's it Spring is here. I'm off to the Lake district on Monday and the forecast is -5 and snow! What's that all about!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteoh but it def makes them pop...really cool pics...esp that first one...really crisp...
ReplyDeleteLovely pictures. Yes, I am ready for spring, but right now all I see outside is snow.
ReplyDeleteI guess lots of rain is our reward today. The snow is melting some because of it but it will be snow by tomorrow again. I really enjoy your bird photos. We don't see the chirping sparrow very often here but we do have all of the rest. Well no pilated woodpecker either. I live too far south for that one.
ReplyDeleteIt was a beautiful spring like day here sunshine mild temps snow is almost gone and the birds and animals are all frisky and frolicking here ! I do hope spring arrives at in your area soon ! Fantastic photos !
ReplyDeleteHere's to fast dripping icicles and a rapidly approaching spring!!!
ReplyDeleteTired of winter here in Maine, also! Love the bird photos!
ReplyDeleteLook at all that snow coming down in every picture! Yes, you are definitely not feeling the spring. Yet. Give it time, it's coming, I promise! :-)
ReplyDeleteIt was another beautiful day in the neighborhood here in Seattle. Spring is busting out all over.
ReplyDeleteI SO AGREE with you! I'm starving for some color ... this white has been on the ground long enough! Of course it's still coming down as I'm typing this. Argh ... come on spring - bring it on!
ReplyDelete'hugs from afar'
They're all fine photos but the colours in the one of the purple finch help to make that a particularly lovely shot.
ReplyDeleteAll the snow is gone from my neck of the woods, in fact, mom saw a robin in Gram's yard yesterday, keep the faith, my friend, Spring will head your way soon!!! :-)
