The things that I love about Spring and Summer
the most
is the birds and the blooms....
In Spring here, Trout Lilies and Bloodroot are some of the first spring wildflowers we see.
Of course, robins and sparrows are some of the earliest birds to arrive back up north too.
I hope you have had the chance this past spring and summer to sit outside
and enjoy the melodious sounds of the neighborhood birds
and have taken the time to smell the flowers.
After all, it is two of the most important things to do in life!

ReplyDeleteHiya,
ReplyDeleteLove the birds and the flowers. You are an amazing photog.
I am planning to be in Marquette at my sister's place for Art on the Rocks weekend. The hubster is coming with as our anniversary is the 22nd and we might stop at Pictured Rocks on our way home after the weekend.
I sure hope to see you while I am up there. Are you planning to go to Art on the Rocks?

I've always loved coming across blood root in the woods. It always seems exotic, for some reason. Lovely blog here!
ReplyDeleteBloodroot is sort of any ugly name for a very pretty flower. This of course is my opinion only.Love those White-throated Sparrows and of course the Catbird.
ReplyDeleteYou continue to take amazing photographs!
ReplyDeleteThe older I get the better they sound. Tweet, Tweet!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful bird photos. I have a birding blog that you may wish to visit...you can find it on my sidebar of my personal blog.
ReplyDeleteI so enjoy watching birds...and flower gardening too, but right now, during the summer heat and drought the flowers in our yard are not looking their best.
Enjoyed your post.
ps...I am your newest follower!!!
ReplyDeleteWonderful photos.
ReplyDeleteI would like to copy the rules of the photography contest. I would like to mull over them off line. Need permission, yes?
ReplyDeleteFlowers and birds - how lovely. My starfire lilies just bloomed and I actually saw monarch butterflies near them the other day.....nothing so colorful as summer.
ReplyDeleteI do not think I have ever seen a bloodroot before. Lovely photos as always.
