Autumn Captured in Photos, continued:

Yes, I STILL have autumn photos to share with all of you.
I have winter ones to share too.
I
am
woefully
behind!!

And?
Very busy.

But that's ok..
if YOU don't mind, I don't mind.

This little boathouse is down the lake from us in a little bay. I always have loved it:

This "cabin" is in a great spot....I've always wanted to sit on its front porch and look out at the view from there.  I will have to pull my boat up to their dock and knock on their door and ask
them sometime...do you want to come with me?:

Our lake has lots of rocks and bluffs on it:

Looking into the colorful woods:

I am positively SMITTEN
with woods roads in the autumn...especially
if there is a misty foggy day:

Another "cabin" on an island on our lake.
A few years back, there were rumors that Madonna had purchased this one
for her Father as a vacation home.
I haven't seen her yet.
My husband keeps hoping....

There are several islands on our lake.
I think this one is my favorite:

Did I mention  yet
that I am in LOVE
with autumn roads?:

If you are ever in the U.P. (Upper Peninsula)
of
Michigan...
look me up...we could go hunting for photography opportunities
out in the woods together...
or I could take you on a ride on our pontoon
to see our lake...

You just gotta bring your love of nature with you.........

  5. You are so blessed to have views like this and the autumn roads shot is perfect for the cover of a book.

  6. It is a bitterly cold day here in Italy so I am staying warm and cosy by the fire and catching up on my blog reading. So much to do and so little time, I do not mind, loved seeing autumnal colours instead of all the white!

  7. I didn't realize how similar your area and our area is (North Central St. Louis County). In Minnesota, if we drive only 80 miles SW of us, the character of the lakes change, and change even more further south.

These are great pictures, and they make me long for a house on a lake, which will never happen. But we have a house on a very little river.

  9. I can't tell you how much I enjoy your photos. I grew up in southern California, and you may know that California really does not have the color change in Autumn. Anyway, Hubby and I bought an RV after retiring and set out to see the USA. I'm telling you all this because I wanted to share my very first experience with the beautiful colors. We somehow ended up in Wisconsin in September. I remember taking a Rte. 1 in upper Wisconsin and I have never ooh'd and ahh'd so much in my entire life. Each turn would bring new colors and flavors of autumn. I've never seen anything so gorgeous in all my life. So many lakes, well you must know what I'm talking about. Your pictures remind me of that time. I really love the adorable little island. Thank you so very much for sharing your photos. I've loved them all!

  10. Your area has the most spectacular colors. I love both of the roads, I would have to follow them to see what's over the rise or around the corner.
