ReplyDeletethese are absolutley gorgeous!!!! the color is spectacular. i have not been able to get photos this good of our jays, they don't sit still long enough. maybe the snow made his sit for while. extraordinary shots.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful shots! Not sure if I enjoy bluejays or cardinals more. They are both so great looking in the snow.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year!

Happy New Year, Joan!!! :)
ReplyDeleteIt looks puffy in this winter time.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year.
WOW, what photos! What birds! What colors!
ReplyDeleteThose are amazing photographs. What beauties those jays are! Awesome photography!
ReplyDeleteJoan, All I can say is 'Wow!' just stunning! I had to call my husband in the room to look at such marvelous beauty!
ReplyDeleteSo I want to ask you...what type of bird feed do you use to attract them? Obviously what we are offering they have NO interest in...
Happy New Year to you!
Beautiful birds and lovely vibrant colours. Wishing you a very happy 2011.
ReplyDeleteYes, I love their color and their distinctive shape.
ReplyDeleteWOW - your photos are fantastic. My only issue with those beauties is that they are food hogs! They have terrible manners and don't like to share with the other birds.
ReplyDeleteBlue Jays are such pretty birds... Ours disappear from here in winter --but always come back Spring -Fall. Great pictures, Joan... I love seeing them all 'puffed up'..... I know they are COLD.
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year.
Hugs,
Betsy
If you hear a bump in the night in the next few days just go back to sleep. It will be me downstairs stealing your camera. They are wonderful shots and I hope you and hubby have a great new year.
ReplyDeleteI love all these BlueJay shots Joan!! Beautiful!! I wish we'd get more snow so the pics of the birds will be better. I love winter shots. The colors stand out so brilliantly!! Happy New Year!!
ReplyDeleteBlue jays are some of my favorite kinds of birds. You got some great pictures of them. Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteVery pretty... Loved the stark contrast of the colors... Wish you a very happy new year:-)
ReplyDeleteBEAUTIFUL!!!
ReplyDeleteI LOVE the colors. These look nothing like the Bluejays we have, ours are drab in comparison.
