This and That from July and August

Today, I am going to show you a
collection of photos
I took over July and August of this year...
Just a hodgepodge
of
the joys of nature!

Maybe this isn't too much joy for SOME people...
especially those that are allergic to bees, but
I think they are beautiful creatures:

Check out the glowing, Alien eyes on this deer!
We were riding in the woods at dusk and I caught her in my flash!:

Goat's beard, all in bloom!:

Delightful pansy faces in my garden:

A pale pink Musk Mallow:

An old metal fire engine wheel in sepia:

A duck that was playing right beside our dock!:

While riding on our windy lake on our bumpy boat, we spotted some Mergansers, so I attempted
to get some pictures of them:
The shot is a bit grainy...it is the only way I could focus it clearer for you!

I am trying to get caught up on many of the photos
I have taken this summer
so that when the leaves change colors up here,
I will be current with my photos of them for you..

We went in the woods last week, and I see hints of the leaves changing up here
already!! So it won't be long before I am posting
the gorgeous U.P. autumn photos for you!!

  2. Nice pictures! We are going to try really hard to get up there this year, even if it only for one night! It't been forever since I have been in the UP in the fall!

  11. Fantastic photo of that Bee!! And the deer is nice also. I like how the animals have glowing eyes when a flash photo is taken. That's the only way I know some animal is in the woods at night sometimes..Ha!
