Today, I am publishing a mish-mosh of some photos I have taken over the last month or so, but haven't had the time to show you yet.
Enjoy!
This is a seed pod. I love them when they get all fuzzy!:
A red tree mushroom with a ton of dimension!:
A huge tree burl, along with proof of an ambitious woodpecker!:
A tower of tree mushrooms!:
An apple at sunrise!:
Eight merganser ducks, along with a beaver dam!:
A relecting pool:
A sad and lonely boat in the autumn, waiting for next spring already:
A Snow Bird. We get a ton of these here that stay all winter. But they are hard to capture on film, they are very jumpy birds that fly every few seconds!:
Looking up the ladder of tree mushrooms!:
Hope you are having a great day!
fascinating shots! the seed pod started it off with a bang...and the tree mushrooms...really enjoy following your adventures through your lens.
ReplyDeleteWhat great pictures. You sure get out in the woods a lot...I'm glad you share all these great pics!
ReplyDeleteLove the tower of mushrooms, the mushroom with dimension, and the reflecting pool! once again--wonderful shots.
ReplyDeleteYou have a wonderful way of looking at things -the little things that I might pass up walking through the woods.
ReplyDeletevickie
Again, the series of photos is great. This is autumn.
ReplyDeleteIt will be winter then, wait to see your amazing photo again.
Love the apple picture! Makes me hungry LOL. Seriously...you are retired but need to be a professional photographer!!!!
ReplyDeleteI always love the warmth of a sunny photograph. Thanks!
ReplyDeleteBrian: Thanks Brian...and back atcha regarding your phenomenal writing. I "see" so many things when I read you.
ReplyDeleteSue: Yes, during spring, summer and fall I get out in the woods as much as possible, because in the winter I don't snowmobile or ski, so I am inside a lot then. I hope to get out more this winter and capture some winter scenes.
Eva:Thanks...I am quite enamored with tree mushrooms, for some reason.
Vicki: I passed up almost ALL of the things I photograph now (before). Ever since I got into photography, I think so differently about texture and details of the ordinary things. I appreciate nature so much more now.
Rainfield:Before I got into photography, I was quite an "inside and keep warm" girl in the winter. Now, I look forward to bundling up and getting out in the snow and ice and capturing some winter scenes for everyone. Wish me luck! ha
Brittany: You are always my best cheerleader...Love you girlfriend!!
Lucy & Dick: You are welcome..thanks for returning and visiting my blog and leaving comments on a regular basis..my readers keep me motivated to continue with my photography and it means so much to me!
You can find the strangest mushrooms. Are you sure there have not been any UFOs landing in the woods lately?
ReplyDeleteToday I took a picture of some wonderful fungus on an old dead stump, and I thought of you, of course. I almost put it on my blog but instead put it into my Flickr collection. Look at the links on the right side of my page and click on Trailblazers Fall 09.
ReplyDeleteAn apple at sunrise, oh so pretty. Love the mish mosh of photo's my friend....luv ya....:-) Hugs
ReplyDeleteHi There, What a great set of photos. Love the tree mushrooms and the woodpecker tree. We have a similar 'dead' tree which our woodpeckers also love. It's in the empty lot next door.
ReplyDeleteHugs,
Betsy
They're all so beautiful and I love the shots of the mushrooms on the trees...and the ducks swimming like 80 to get home!
ReplyDeleteSandi
A beautiful series of photos, I love the mushrooms especially those red ones. The mushroom tree is amazing, I just not seeing that many here but maybe it's our climate.
ReplyDeleteFrom the looks of that one tree you have some serious woodpeckers in your area, they really did a number on that tree!
Judy
You've got such a great variety of pictures here today. I like every one. Ducks are always on my favorites list. The mushrooms are also interesting.
ReplyDeleteThe tree mushrooms are fantastic. I had seen them on my hike in a rainforest a couple of months ago, but they were reddish.
ReplyDeleteI love coming over here and looking at your photos. I always try to pick my favorites and it is so hard to do. I love the seed pod and the reflecting pool but I like the tree burl as well. Have a great weekend.
ReplyDeleteGrannyann: who knows? One of my running jokes is "blame it on the Aliens"! ha
ReplyDeleteDJan: I sure will check out the photo on your blog! Feel free to put it on your main blogposts too...any pictures you take I will like!
Bernie: Glad you liked them. I have a lot of odds and ends photos left that really didn't have much of a theme, but I didn't post them yet from the autumn photos I have taken..so there will be more.
Betsy: thanks. I think that one was visited by Pileated woodpeckers, one of my favorite birds! They are on my "wish list" for bird pictures, yet.
Sandi: I was wishing I had a better zoom lens when I saw those ducks, because they were way near the other shore and they were Merganser ducks, some of my favorite ducks to photograph!
SquirrelQueen: I think that tree was pounded by my favorite: a pileated woodpecker. I just love those birds and hope to capture one on camera someday. We have the most amazing collection of tree mushrooms here, too...we see a zillion different kinds and I like them all.
Ratty: thanks! I am pretty sure the ducks were Mergansers. Do you have many of that type where you live?
Lotusleaf: Thanks! We have many, many different kinds of tree mushrooms here...all colors and shapes...I never run out of a desire to photograph them because I like them so much on the trees.
Southern Lady: Thanks so much! I have some other pictures from last month that didn't fit any of my other "themes" of places we visited that I will be posting too. Whenever we see something pretty or that I find artistic in the woods, I snap a photo of it. ha
You take some pretty amazing photos. I loved the first one a lot.
ReplyDeleteI have said this before, but you have such a great sense of design in your photo compositions. That reflection lake is wonderful. You will be making beautiful snow pictures some of these days.
ReplyDeleteNope, I only have mallards around here. Your mergansers are the only ones I've ever seen. I'd love to be able to see some of these myself though.
ReplyDeleteLoree: Thanks so much! I love doing macros...but I love doing almost all of my photos. ha
ReplyDeleteL.D.: Thanks! I know, you are right...we will have snow before I know it and it will be snow that doesn't leave until after April!!!
Ratty: Mallards are pretty neat too, but I would miss seeing the many different kinds of water birds we have here. But all of ours fly south and we don't get them back until spring!
