More Spring Flowers (I Can't Help Myself!)...

I apologize up front to any of my readers who are groaning that I have posted photos of more flowers.
But, I LOVE THEM, and well, it's my blog, right?
Secretly, I hope I can convert you into liking flower pictures, so I will persist. :-D

Strolling thru my gardens, I had to capture some more. So here goes!:

A double tulip. Look close, there is BLUE inside this one!:

When we were out at our cabin, we found these little wild blue violets:

Remember HIM? You bloggers named him "Mr. Tight Buns". He is now standing guard in our yard over my forget-me-nots:

I was excited to see that my Lemon Lily was already shooting up a flower! It should grow and bloom within the next 2 weeks!:

More "Spring Beauty" wildflowers!:

One of my favorite tulips, because it has a deep purple color outside and this surprise blue center!:

When we were at the cabin, a SEA of green leaves were in color on the forest floor. I loved these!:

Phlox and tulips. The epitomy of SPRING!:

More tulips!:

There. I feel so much better. YOU do too, c'mon....admit it!!!!!!

  8. Oh you can't post enough flowers to suit me! I love gathering up gardening ideas from my favorite blogs. Your posts are so colorful! What kind of camera do you have, may I ask? We need a good one since ours is about 7 years old that is antique these days! Keep the flowers comin'

    PS I meant to post on your cabin the other day. Amazing that you were able to sell it on Craigslist! But it looked like a lovely place, whoever bought it got a slice of Heaven!

  9. Purple tulips! I'm in Heaven.

  10. The frog is still my favourite. The incongruity of that thing standing in the middle of a garden of spring flowers makes me laugh. The parasol makes it all so much more bizarre.

  11. I cannot tell a lie, it does make me feel better. They are beautiful. I'm with you though, the purple with the surprise blue is magnificent...Sigh. I want to live in your yard.

  12. Rainfield: It must be spring because you are getting "randy" :-D

    Scrappy: I love looking at your photos and gardens too! Thanks.

    Judy: Thanks. That is the only tulip I have seen with blue inside. But I am a fairly new gardener.

    Rural Rambler: I loved the one of the little white and purple ones too. Best of all they are free and growing all over the spring forest floor!

    Star: Thanks so much!I love taking them so I am glad the readers aren't getting sick of them yet.

    Gaston: Gasp and blush! Of course I would be HONORED if you painted one of them. Out of curiosity, which one are you thinking of painting? You have to send me a picture of your painting when you finish it. I am SO excited about this!

    Insanity: When things slow down a little for me here I am going to try and enter some amateur photo contests. I go to the sites and other's are SO good, I get intimidated and think twice about entering any of them...but I have to try, right?

    Joycee: It is a Panasonic Lumix, 18X optical zoom with 10 megapixels. I just love it. It is a point and shoot but it can let you use manual settings too...I am taking a class next Saturday to learn to use it better.

    Sharon: I know! I loved them when I saw them too!
    I hope they double in my garden next year.

    Fran: I love his parasol too. He is so ugly, he is cute!

    Brittany: I am so glad they brightened your day, Sweetie! You can come and live in our yard any day...but I gotta warn you, you would have to make an igloo in the winter. :-}

  14. I always enjoy your flower photos! I think I can smell them from over here! LOL!!!

  15. When I get tired of using your snow scene for a wallpaper I may use the natures greenery. I loved the flower pics but if I use them my icons get lost in the flowers. I use a mac so my desktop icons are really colorful.

  16. P.S. I forgot to tell you, I love Mr Tight Buns. Wish I had one.

  17. LOVE the pictures! My fav is the white ones with purple stripes...soooo pretty! But I'm wondering why Mr. Tight Buns buns are hidden. Don't want to make the neighbors jealous? ; )

  18. Roshni: Thanks! Yes, I liked the bright green of those wild plants too.

    Shellmo: Thanks....I love the smell of the spring blooms too.

    Grannyann: The green plant background will make a great screen saver. Or you can use both!~ :-}

    Grannyann: Did you read my post a while back about him? I got him at a yard sale of my neighbors and then we put wood putty on the cracks and repainted him this winter. I love his little parasol and his fat tummy!

    JJ: Maybe I should turn him a little so we can all see his booty?

  19. Finally got back to you. I'd like to try the purple tulip with the blue inside; I just love this one.

    I could give your photograph credit in my description; please email me at jggaston41@embarqmail.com if you have any questions at all. Also, I'm currently doing a rather large commission of a pet so it'll be a while before I get to the tulip!

  20. Your photos are just gorgeous, you know I like flower pictures. The spring beauty one looks like it would be beautiful framed. I love it.

  21. I never payed much attention to flowers before, but after getting my camera I realized how photogenic they are. I have a few favorite flowers, but I don't keep track of the names of most of them. My favorites from your pictures today are your spring beauties. They're the kind that make me see that I was missing something by not paying attention.

  22. Oh Joan, I love your flowers and your pictures of them are so beautiful. I am working hard on my own little flower pots and plants and have been glowing in the wonder of how lovely they look but boy I have a long way to go and so do my flowers to catch up to your wonderful garden. Thank you for sharing and I am learning so much especially what my flowers are suppose to look like!.......:-) Hugs

  23. I love pictures of flower so I am not going to complain for sure. Those tulips are absolutley gorgeous and Mr Tight Buns looks so sassy.

  24. Holy Cow, things are really blooming up there right now. BEAUTIFUL!! I love the photo of the green leaves on the forest floor.

  25. Gaston: That painting will be fantastic! No need to
    "credit me" in the description, but if you decide to, that would be really nice. You must be very talented to be able to paint flowers, how fantastic!

    Gardener: I would go crazy in your garden...love all your flowers and your photos, too! I could look at them all day!

    Ratty: yes, in all the hikes you take in the woods, you must see a LOT of spring flowers on the forest floor..they are tiny and only bloom for a short time before the leaves come all the way out. My favorite are the large, white Trilliums. (They turn pink when they are at the end of their 1-2 week life cycle). I hope to capture some pink ones next week on camera.

    Bernie: I am definitely learning too! I just started gardening about 4 years ago. But I never met a flower I didn't like :-}

    Loree: Mr.Tight Buns is sassy with his new coat of paint. We get a lot of folks who comment on him and like him. The tulips are just ending, and I am sad to see them go. Pretty soon my Iris will be the "stars" along with the lillies.

    Lynn: Finally!!! I was surprised how much I loved the green leaves on forest floor when I looked at the photo. This time of year the greens are so vibrant!

  26. OMGoodness! How can you not take pictures. After the hellacious winter we had! I'll take flower pics over seeing snow any day. You have beautiful flowers growing!

  27. DVM's Wife: I don't even want to THINK of this past winter. And now, this cold spring has been long enough too...time to get on with warmth and sun!
