When I was downstate last week, I visited the Michigan State University Botanical gardens to see what was blooming this early in the spring. Here are some photos of the blooms that were so beautiful. I will post the 2nd set in the next few days. Enjoy!!!!

Gorgeous!
It's so amazing to see the same kind of spring, just a little later than here...we are already past the blooms and into mass amounts of green; I am gonna take some great AK pix just for u this summer! :) have you seen my little slide on my blog yet??
Gorgeous as always :-)
Thank You for the breath of fresh air on a cloudy rainy day here in Texas
Scrappy
OK, I have DEFINITELY gots to get me that damn camera!
These are just awesome! I love Japanese Tulips and the forsythia looks like a lemon colored waterfall!
Beautiful! The flowers were all gone when my man and I went to our botanical garden. The 98 degree weather didn't help!
Insanity Kim: I have to get over to your blog..I am behind in my reading of others' blogs..so I will pop over there tomorrow and look at your sidebar!
Scrappy Doo: You are welcome. I bet you are a LOT warmer than we are! We only had 51 today and here, only one daffodil in bloom right now. Many of my tulips are up but not blooming yet.
Gaston: I love the bright colors of the spring flowers, and they are so welcomed after our long winters.
JJ: Wow..98 degrees? I love the high 70's and mid 80's....after that, it is too hot for me!
What beautiful pictures! I love the magnolia and the Virginia bluebells. I found that mine actually returned and even have buds on them.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog! I've been gone for a few days, but read and appreciated your comments!
Return to the second last picture, look carefully into the top flower, do you see somebody, wearing pinkish shoes, having their white skinny legs pointing towards the air. I can see some of their buttocks. Hahaha...
I really like the second one, with the blooming branches spilling out over the trail. It's like a waterfall of flowers.
We are only able to see the beginning of buds in Alberta, your pictures bring hope and they are so pretty. Have a great day....Bernie
So pretty...but I think that...ah...ah...ah...ACHOO! I think that all these spring flowers are killing my allergies.
Do you suppose our Yooper flowers will ever blossom?? Those are very pretty shots. Ya can almost smell the frangrance.
Catherine: You are welcome! Back atcha!!
Rainfield: You have a great imagination! White skinny legs..hahahahaaaaaa
Ratty: good description!
Bernie: Same where I live, MSU is 8 hours south of us...so we just have buds here too. It was in the 80's when I was at MSU..what a nice break from our 50s!
Lynn: That's the nice thing about pictures...you enjoy the beauty without the allergies.
Cathy: I wonder! Still only buds here. It was so nice being in the 80's at MSU. That was abnormally warm for April, but it was such a nice break from our 50's!!
Oh what beautiful flower pictures. I sure am enjoying using your snowy road for a desktop photo.
Grannyann: Thaks I love taking them. Feel free to use any of them as a desktop photo! I am honored that you did that. I can't believe the storm was only a week and a half ago. Now all of it has melted and I have daffodils and tulips budding. Isn't nature interesting???
what gorgeous photos!! i haven't been to lansing in YEARS!! i hope you had a great time. did you go to the famous taco restaurant...whose name escapes me right now?
xo
There's no other word I can say except gorgeous!
Melissa: Thanks! We didn't make the taco restaurant, but did go to a fabulous Chinese one. Yumm!
Loree: Thanks! I love taking them and I love sharing photos with all my readers.
That Forsythia is stunning!! The Virginia Bluebells were pretty awesome too! :)
Far Side: I loved how if fell over the wall! And the blue bells were such a nice sight after seeing drab browns...I love them all!
