Ixtapa, Mexico: Part Three

Today, since it is so cold where I live,
I decided to show you
some of the
beautiful Mexican flowers we saw on our trip.
As I mentioned before, I did not take my DSLR
camera or my macro lens, so I was wishing I had it with me
during all of these shots,
but still, the exotic flowers there and the color
was a feast to this Northern Girl's eyes
this time of year for SURE!

Unfortunately, I do not know the names of any of the followng flowers...
but that is a good thing, because now I will keep quiet
and let you look at them in silence.....

If any of you know the flowers' names, please feel free to share in the comments on my blog...I will publish them for all of us to learn.

This SO makes me yearn for Spring....
we have lots of snow and cold here and usually
'nothing comes up until April, and that is only crocuses....

But, I am going to attend a destination wedding at the end of April,
and it is again in a tropical island....

so I am READY to pack already!!!

Hope you enjoyed today's flowers on the blog...
and that it made your day brighter.

What a lovely bunch of flowers! As usual, your photos are exquisite!
I know a few names, but it's too late in the evening to figure out how to spell them, so I'm happy with just looking.

Gorgeous photos that bring a welcome touch of color to my grey Sunday (even Alicante has grey weather from time to time)

I believe the tenth shot is Nereum oleander (one of the few whose name I always remember in Latin from my Botany classes). And you have quite a few shots of lovely Bouganvilia! :o)

I LOVE Mexico but have never been to Ixtapa...I enjoyed seeing your beautiful pictures of the tropical flowers, the ocean, and the mood!
My site is called AlterEgoMexicana.com
...written by this gringa that thinks she should have been born south of the border!

Wow.. such pretty flowers. Unless you want them in your own garden, there's no real need to know the names, I suppose. I'll just enjoy. :)
