Renaissance Fair: Part TWO

Today?

Part TWO of the Ren Fair
for you!

Loosen that corset, take a few sips from thy frothy mug, sit down and rest thy leathered-booted feet
and enjoy!!

This Flame Blower was a hit, as you can well imagine!:

I always love the bright costumes and scarves!:

Dancing with the Stars had nothing on these gals!:

More costumes!:

But that Flame Thrower!!!!:

I think I was more worried about him losing his pants when he threw
that in the air, than him being burned!:

I loved that the local kids got "into" the fair and ribboned up their hair
and wore costumes!:

This lady had the most interesting facial expressions
when she was dancing....it made everyone laugh...
but I won't show you THOSE...
just this nice one of her smiling!:

I loved this hat thrown on the field while the lad was busy doing other things....

Jousting for the fair maiden's hand:

Cute ladies in costume!:

 A sexy maiden:

I loved how the little girl in the background was watching this belly dancer so intently,
dreaming of dancing someday herself, no doubt....

May you have dreams of
of your own today.....
Maybe even a few thoughts about dancing in a field on a future warm summer's day, too.

Gorgeous photos!

I was curious in your other post and again today about those belly dancers, about how none of them are showing any skin! Over here they definitely do... much skimpier outfits. Cultural differences from either side of the pond? Or just due to the temperature? Although the girls from the belly dancing group I did a few lessons with in Belgium also wore very few threads and it was definitely cold up there!

what do you think?

Some of those costumes were so colorful! But that flame thrower needed to keep his shirt on! It was not a pretty sight, that skinny torso!

This looks like a fun event, I haven't been to a Renaissance Fair in years. The costumes are always my favorite part especially the dancers. And of course the Flame Thrower! And the Bird Lady.

Were you in costume Joan?

the people really get into the role. The costumes are stunning and the flame thrower's pants a worry.
