Autumn in the U.P.: Brockway Mountain !!

Autumn couldn't be prettier than at the tip of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan
at a place called

And in Copper Harbor, is a "mountain" called Brockway Mountain
where you can drive your car to the very top to see a beautiful panorama
of colors.

We had a lot of wind the weekend before we could get up there, so we didn't see it in "full" color
but we were lucky that there were some trees still in color for us to enjoy.

It overlooks Lake Superior:

A view from the edge from the side of the mountain:

A patch of gold!:

The most colorful side:

Color surrounding a small lake:

Overlooking the town of Copper Harbor from the mountain:

If you ever get the chance to come up here to the U.P., aim for the last few weeks of September
and make sure Copper Harbor and Brockway Mountain Drive is on your checklist.

You will love it!

Holy cow those colors are spectacular! Hey - thanks for the blog shout out in photo #2 - *wink*! I love the Fall in all its splendor! We camped in the UP a long, long time ago when we had a pop up trailer and the kids were young. I remember a lot of pine trees, beautiful scenery, and not many people!

We went up Brockway Mountain in the Summer of 2008! We loved it! What a ride that was!! When we were up there we mentioned that we thought it would be a beautiful sight in the fall! Thanks for proving that! Friends of ours went up on their snowmobiles a few years ago, too! That was a gorgeous sight, too!

Yes, those are really the most amazing Fall colors i've seen in blogs. The others taken by Betsy from Tennessee are lovely too from her travels. I am glad blogging happened or else i will be deprived of seeing so much wonders!

Gosh I love these pictures, such amazing colours. Hubs and I once went to New England in the fall specially to see the autumn beauty. Unfortunately fall was later that year. It was when the seasons started to go haywire. Forgive my ignorance, but where is U.P?
